Installation at Fountain of Wealth, Suntec City, Singapore.

A regular stream made of hundreds of luminous fishing lines (which may be cut away easily, image left, on the 4th day) were placed at regular intervals using rings (which could be slid easily) attached to the railings along the walkway around the fountain.
The work is made to transform and deliberately ephemeral through the participations of the passers by, the untraceable 'mischief', into irregular formation. The result after 34th day of exhibition was a mischief looking object, which hung (un)comfortably in that serious, largest fountain in the world.
The installation work was built narrating the flow of water and the seemingly restless people at "Fountain of Wealth", Suntec City, Singapore. It also highlights the way we possibly communicate nowadays, with the help of technology, a group of strangers with unique personality decided to 'get together' and do some action.
The fountain is located below the street level, going about 10 meters down. The lines were secured down onto stainless steel rods at the floor of the fountain, immersed in a pool of water. Passers by at the street level transformed the formation of the artworks by sliding the rings along the railings, loosening or tightening the fishing lines, or cutting them off.

Un rideau régulier fait de centaines de lignes lumineuses en fil de pêche. Les photos de gauche prise le 4ème jour, montre l'installation d'anneaux (pouvant glisser facilement) attachés aux balustrades le long du caillebotis autour de la fontaine.
L'oeuvre délibérément éphémère appelle à une participation ludique de la part des passants, qui en fait l'ont transformée en formation irrégulière. Le résultat après le trente-quatrième jour de l'exposition est devenu un objet insolite accroché (in)confortablement au rambardes de cette 'sérieuse' et plus grande fontaine au monde.
Ce travail d'installation a été conçu pour relater le mouvement d'eau de la fontaine et des personnes agitées dans cette enceinte de Suntec. Il accentue également la manière dont des personnes étrangères et de personnalités différentes communiquent de nos jours, avec l'aide de la technologie, à savoir passer par un même point sans forcement se donner rendez vous et faire une certaine action.
La fontaine se situe 10m en dessous du niveau de la rue. Les fils ont été fixés sur des tiges d'acier inoxydable immergées dans le bassin de la fontaine. Les passants au niveau de la rue ont transformé la formation d'œuvre en glissant les anneaux le long des balustrades, en détachant ou en coupant les fils de pêche.
